We Believe Patient Experience in Healthcare Should Feel as Good as the Care Itself

There is a version of medicine that most people have experienced at least once: a visit where the physician was unhurried, communication was clear, you felt genuinely known, and the experience of care matched the quality of the clinical work behind it. It’s rare enough to be memorable. At 365 Surgical, that experience is what we’re working to make more common.

Our focus is not on the clinical side of orthopedic surgery — surgeons already deliver excellent care on that front. It’s on everything that happens outside the operating room: the communication, the coordination, the preparation, and the recovery experience that shapes how patients feel about their entire surgical journey. We believe that when those elements are done with intention and care, both patients and the practices that serve them are better for it.

“When time gets squeezed out of care, experience suffers. We put it back — human to human.”

The People Behind the Program

365 Surgical is a small, focused team with deep conviction about what they’re building. Everyone who works here has chosen to be here because they believe in the idea at the core of the company: that the experience of surgical care can and should be better, and that a human, relationship-driven approach is the right way to improve it.

Why 365 Surgical Exists: A System That Was Missing Something Important

The U.S. healthcare system is genuinely impressive in many respects. The research infrastructure, the surgical technology, the clinical outcomes — particularly in procedural specialties like orthopedics — are among the best in the world. What the system has struggled to preserve, especially as volume pressures have mounted, is the human dimension of the patient experience: the feeling of being known by your care team, of having someone available when questions arise, of navigating something complex without feeling alone.

Our founder experienced this firsthand, both as a patient navigating the healthcare system and through conversations with physicians who described their own discomfort with how transactional medicine had become. The clinical excellence was there. The relationship was often not. In 2018, that changed with the introduction of a concierge primary care physician into his family’s care. The medicine wasn’t different, but the experience was completely different. Communication was clear and responsive. The family felt genuinely supported. It raised a question that eventually became a company: why couldn’t more of medicine feel like this?

“The medicine wasn’t better. The relationship was.”

365 Surgical was founded in 2022 to bring that same question into orthopedic surgery — a specialty defined by excellent clinical care but often challenged by the same communication gaps and logistical friction that affect surgical care broadly. The goal was never to change what surgeons do in the operating room. It was to support everything that happens around it.

How 365 Surgical Solves the Orthopedic Practice Management Problem

Modern orthopedic practice management is caught between two competing pressures. Reimbursements have tightened while patient volumes continue to climb, compressing the time available for each clinical encounter. At the same time, patient expectations for communication, responsiveness, and coordination have risen. The gap between what patients need and what busy practices can provide has widened — not because of poor effort, but because of structural constraints that no amount of good intentions can overcome without additional support.

365 Surgical was built specifically to occupy that gap. We become a human extension of the orthopedic care team, handling the non-clinical work that matters deeply to patients but strains busy practices: proactive outreach, scheduling coordination, pre-operative preparation, DME logistics, post-operative check-ins, and a year of sustained support through recovery. Everything we do follows the surgeon’s protocols and preferences. Nothing we do involves clinical decision-making. The result is a more supported patient experience and a meaningfully lighter administrative load for the practice.

What Makes 365 Surgical Different

The market for patient experience in healthcare solutions is growing, but most of what exists falls into two categories that don’t actually solve the problem. Call centers reduce inbound volume but introduce a new set of frustrations: rotating agents, loss of context, and inconsistent familiarity with surgeon-specific protocols. Technology platforms offer dashboards and automated messaging, but remove the human element that patients in a surgical journey actually need. 365 Surgical is neither of these things.

What we offer is a dedicated surgical concierge program built around one-to-one relationships. Every patient enrolled in the program is paired with a single concierge liaison who remains their consistent contact from enrollment through a full year of recovery. That continuity is the emotional core of the experience, and it’s the clearest point of differentiation from everything else in this space.

Where 365 Surgical Is Headed

The concierge model that 365 Surgical has built for orthopedic surgery represents something we believe has broader implications for how surgical care is structured and experienced. The tension between clinical efficiency and patient experience is not unique to orthopedics — it exists across procedural medicine, and the structural solution is the same: clear separation of clinical care from non-clinical support, with each delivered by people trained specifically for that role.

Our aim is to continue deepening the program within orthopedics, expanding the surgeon network, and refining the model based on the kind of real-world feedback that only comes from actually running patients through the system over time. We are not interested in growing for growth’s sake. We are interested in building something that consistently delivers on its promise — to patients who feel more supported, and to surgeons who find that their practice operates with less friction and more satisfaction.

“Our goal is simple: to help restore a more relationship-based, experience-driven model of care — in a way that respects both patients and physicians.”

The physicians who have partnered with 365 Surgical often describe a version of the same observation: their patients are more prepared, their staff fields fewer non-clinical calls, and the experience of their practice feels more aligned with why they went into medicine in the first place. That is the outcome we are working toward, practice by practice, patient by patient.

Where 365 Surgical Operates

365 Surgical partners with orthopedic surgery practices across the country. We operate across 13 states without a centralized physical hub — our concierge model is built to reach patients wherever their surgeon practices, which means our footprint is defined by the quality of our surgeon relationships rather than by geography. As the network of partnering practices grows, so does our reach.
